Reggie's Rock Club is one of Chicago's best kept secrets. It brings in acts that cater to every type of Chicagoan. Whether it is punk rock, hip-hop, Indie, or country, Reggie's has it. It even has its own record store above it called Record Breakers, which has over 10,000 albums.

Record Breakers is known for having the greatest Indie collection in the city. It's also the best place to buy tickets for shows.

If you're not looking to catch a show, Reggie's also has a separate bar/grill next door called the Music Joint.

And if you're the avid sports fan, this could be your haven. During football season the Music Joint hosts pregame parties. The bar even buses you to Solider Field and back. Same goes with all Blackhawks and White Sox games. This upcoming Super Bowl, the Joint is having its annual Chili cook off.

As a music venue, Reggie's is hard to beat. When you walk through the front door you feel the intimacy. The stage is no more than 200 feet from the back, which automatically enhances a live show.

The back of the venue is a bar, where you can grab a quick drink and still feel close to the action. Directly above the bar is another level that almost resembles your typical concert balcony. It's not though, there's an area to stand in front and behind that is a line of couches. In other words the balcony at Reggie's isn't like the balcony at a venue like The Metro, because at Reggie's your proximity to the stage is unmatched. The walls surrounding you are covered in murals pieced together by local artists. Basically Reggie's has its own flavor that separates itself from your typical concert venue.

Reggie's is located at 2109 S. State St. (just north of Cermak)
