Logan Square Auditorium isn't huge. It isn't new. It isn't fancy. It doesn't even really sound all that great.
With that being said, it makes that much easier to inspire a reckless, carefree, anything-goes type of dance party. This off-the-beaten-path upstairs spot sits on a Logan Square corner and plays host to some of the least pretentious little EDM shows in the city. Luckily for DePaul students of every graduating class, almost all of the events here are 17+. (But for the 21+ set, they've still got a bar for you in back.)
The venue is a modestly sized banquet-style room with a small balcony in back above a quaint bar. The main floor is reserved strictly for dancing, and everyone in attendance obliges without hesitation. It really doesn't matter that the sound system isn't of the highest caliber--but the music is loud and moving, exactly reminiscent of the crowds.
Next weekend, is the ideal time to check out Logan Square Auditorium as React Presents and Bass Kitchen bring around the Bros Gone Wild tour, an all-moombahton show serving up sets by DJ/producers Bro Safari, Tittsworth, Sazon Booya and local party-throwing DJ duo Team Bayside High.
Get your tickets for this 17+ show through www.clubtix.com and use the promo code "BRO" for $5 off your ticket.
