1. Boys Noize at the Mid, 11/25

German electronic music producer and DJ, Alexander Ridha, better known by his stage name Boys Noize, brings the beats to the Mid for some post-turkey-binge boogie. Rounding out DJ Magazine's annual list of the world's 100 best DJs, the Boysnoize Records label owner and Snoop Dogg and Depeche Mode collaborator is sure to give you a night to be thankful for. Check out www.themidchicago.com for more info.

2. Anaphora presents "Uptown" at the Green Mill, 11/27

Anaphora, a local chamber ensemble group founded by DePaul alums, brings their fusion of contemporary, jazz and classical music to this iconic Uptown venue. This calming music might be a smart way to relax after gobbling down masses of food a few days earlier. Go to www.anaphoraensemble.com for info.

3. "The Sound of Music" sing-along at the Music Box, 11/25-27

The songs were bound to get stuck in your head after watching the classic movie anyway. But with the Music Box encouraging sing-alongs, you can celebrate your love of belting "Edelweiss" with the crowds. Don't be afraid to play Julie Andrews for a night. Check out www.musicboxtheatre.com for more info.

4. Lost Panoramas and lecture at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 11/25

Merge your love of nature with art at this exhibit which shows photos chronicling the reversal of the Chicago River. The photos from our city's long-gone past might be haunting, but the lecture by the photo essay's coauthor, Richard Cahan, will leave you with fun local trivia and good "Hmm" feeling. Visit www.naturemuseum.org for info.

5. "West Side Story" at Symphony Center, 11/25-26

The beloved tunes from this great musical are fabulous enough, but how about hearing one of the world's greatest orchestras give the songbook its own spin? While watching the film at the Symphony Center, you'll hear the Chicago Symphony Orchestra bring the songs to life as they happen onscreen. Visit www.cso.org for info.

6. Steve Aoki at Enclave, 11/25

Internationally massive electronic music producer Steve Aoki lands in this tight club for a surefire rager. His recent killer track with Tiesto, "Tornado," is sure to make an appearance, which might alone be worth the trip to River North. But trust me, the Dim Mak Records founder and industry vet will have more up his sleeve to put on a bangin' show. Check out www.enclavechicago.com for more info.

7. EvieTheCool Charity Event at J Bar, 11/27

This local blogger is hosting a charity event to donate money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and toys to Children's Memorial Hospital. Being in attendance that night will automatically get your name entered into a raffle to win tickets for the Watch the Throne concert on Dec. 1 to see Jay-Z and Kanye West. Besides that massive prize, other giveaways will be going on all night. Plus, you might just have fun with other party-lovers and good DJs. Check out http://www.eviethecool.com/blog.html for all the details.
