South Sider native Angel Duzt (nee Angel Sanchez) began his music career as a hobby, like many musicians. Thanks to social media, he is able to share his music with fans, all without the involvement of a record label (that's really indie there). His newest track, "If You Only Knew", features singer Jessica Jasmin in the chorus. The track tells the tale of a young kid gunned down in the street and the impact upon his friends and family. The story is a bummer but it's a great alternative for those who can't stomach rappers bragging about their fame and fortune. With sharp observational lyrics and a great ear for beats, Angel's music has the rare quality of being both entertaining and making listeners think.
