The M Machine is really a lot lower on the electronic music circuit than they should be. This electro-pop/electro-house group just recently put out their debut EP (consisting of only two tracks, but still) on Skrillex's record label OWSLA. Backed by Skirllex, the first DJ/producer to be nominated for the Best New Artist grammy, The M Machine will likely start soon getting some attention.
This week's track, "Promise Me a Rose Garden" is electro-house done right: catchy vocal loops with slow, chilling lows and faster, bass-friendly highs. The vocals are enough to sing along too, but never enter into repetition. When the vocals come around, the tone of the track switches into the mysterious only to have the electro beat bring it back into a house rave scene.
Over the summer, The M Machine has opened for such celebrated acts as Miike Snow, Empire of the Sun and Pretty Lights. But after this EP makes the rounds and "Promise Me a Rose Garden" hits more ears, we should expect this group to take the headlining slot.
