The quarter is almost done, and there is nothing better than listening to a good track after all these papers! This week, we are featuring two new producers, who have climbed up the ranks of dubstep and drum n' bass. Nero is a DJ and producer duo, which has quite literally shaken the scene in the UK. Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray have made hits like "Innocence" and "Guilt," which are top 10 material in dubstep and drum n' bass, respectively. Along with these producing geniuses, the sexy vocals are sung by Alana (I have no info on her releases, but I am sure looking forward to them!).
This week's song features all three of the above; it's called "Promises." The song comes from Nero's debut album, "Welcome Reality," which topped UK album charts at the time of its release on Aug. 15. Nonetheless, the song slaps! The combination of this colorful bass along with the melodic lyrics makes this song my favorite from the whole album. Nero is actually mixing this weekend, Nov. 6, at the Rave in Milwaukee. If you can't catch his show, do not worry! I am sure he will be doing more US tours in the following months, after his successful album release. Until then, enjoy the moving melody and wobble of "Promises"!
