He is one of the main proponents of the moombahton movement. That being said, Dillon Francis hit the EDM world with a little surprise off his new EP released this Valentine's Day entitled "Something, Something, Awesome": a bangin' electro track.
No one's mad about this one, Dillon. His track, "Now Hear This," commands your attention and doesn't allow for any letdowns. There are extended synths chords in the beginning which fade their way into a squeaky melody line over a now pulsing synth repetition. The bass and snare drive the synths into a glitchy drop near the 1:30 mark. Cue the bubbly sounds, electronic warps and old arcade game blips. This track is an upgraded and much heavier take on Dillon's outstanding "I.D.G.A.F.O.S."
Dillon Francis is coming to Chicago alongside Zeds Dead on March 2 at the Congress Theater. Be there. Seriously.
