Revolution Brewery is a relatively new restaurant and brewery in Logan Square. The establishment offers an original menu both in terms of food and drink to be enjoyed in a comfortable atmosphere amid such music as The Dandy Warhols' "Minnesoter"—though not at the usual blaring, bar volume.
The brewery serves their own interpretations of wit beer (Bottom Up Wit), pale ale (Iron Fist Pale Ale), IPA (Anti-Hero IPA), Christmas ale (Fistmas), Belgian tripel (Threesome Tripel), and others made under the supervision of Master Brewer Jim Cibak. Customers will note Cibak's knack for developing particularly balanced recipes without any one flavor becoming too overpowering. This results in an incredibly smooth drink.
For those underagers or low-quality fakers, the food menu is reason enough to make the trip. (Also, Goose Island Root Beer and Orange Cream are offered.) Burgers are "incredibly juicy" with toppings for every palate: Workingman Burger for bacon-lovers, Forest Burger if you're into mushrooms, etc. Burgers and sandwiches come most recommended as far as food options, but the restaurant also serves a series of pizzas (Margherita, Smokehouse, Twice Baked Potato) and entrees consisting of fish, steak, pork chops, and tofu. Brunch is served starting at 10am on weekends. The full menu can be found at revbrew.com/food.
A crew of attentive, warm, and knowledgeable staff members serve menu items in an open and rustic atmosphere. Seated patrons are able to watch the brewing process from their tables through a large, revealing window looking into the brewery.
