Brittany Hrynko drives to the lane against St. Mary's in a 96-68 victory on Friday, November 11, 2011 at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

Freshman Brittany Hrynko scored a career-high 25 points as No. 23 DePaul beat Arizona State 73-55 on Friday night.

Katherine Harry and Jasmine Penny had 14 points apiece for the Blue Demons (10-2), who have won consecutive games since their 84-61 loss to Tennessee.

DePaul opened the game with a 9-0 run while Arizona State missed its first eight shots. Hrynko had 16 points in the first half as DePaul carried a 41-26 lead into the break.

Janae Fulcher scored 16 for the Sun Devils (7-2), and Kali Bennett finished with nine points.

Arizona State made a late run, closing to 66-55 on Promise Amukamara's baseline 3-pointer with 1:40 to play. But the rally fizzled from there.

DePaul was without forward Keisha Hampton, who was sidelined with an unspecified injury. She was in uniform, but did not play, ending a run of 113 consecutive starts.

Anna Martin had nine points and a season-high eight assists for the Blue Demons, who avenged a 79-66 loss in Tempe last season.

Arizona State committed 20 turnovers, but outrebounded DePaul 42-30.
