A Lincoln Park resident was arrested and charged in connection with recent sexual abuse cases in the DePaul neighborhood Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Mihael Jocic, of the 1200 block of West Webster, is being held on $150,000 bail after a DePaul student reported him to the police for approaching and touching her "in an inappropriate manner."

According to Chicago police, the most recent victim was assaulted early Wednesday morning in the 2000 block of North Bissell and immediately contacted investigators, recalling his photo from a Public Safety alert.

Jocic, 37, was previously reported to police for an incident Oct. 22 in the 700 block of West Fullerton involving another young woman in which he made advances toward her while reaching for a hug and touching her private parts, police said.

"I recognized him immediately from his picture. He approached me in what I remember was January of 2010 while walking up to McGaw Hall on campus," said senior Lisa Armstrong. "He asked me a bunch of questions, like what I was studying and what nationality I was."

"I saw him a few weeks ago walking down Webster and I've seen him walking around before," said senior Zoe Barker. "He is always by himself. He tried to say hi to me once but I just ignored him and walked away."

Jocic has been identified in relation to the October incident and the November case remains under investigation. He is set to appear in court on Nov. 18.
