Louisiana-ers, Brass Bed, hit Logan Square's not-short-on-character Pancho's Bar on Monday, April 4 for the Chicago leg of their current tour. This tour is in support of the band's latest album, "Melt White," released last fall.
Roaming the country with Poison Control Center, Brass Bed took a pause from playing their self-described brand of "psychedelic power-pop" to sit down with The DePaulia. The Southern quartet relives the SXSW "popped bass string heard 'round the world" incident and unanimously decides the MVP of the band. Like the sound clips you hear? Go ahead and pirate "Melt White;" they don't mind. In fact, they would love you to. I'll let them tell you why.
