Photos from Occupy DePaul's Friday night sit-in in the Lincoln Park Student Center. Students are requesting that a vote on a proposed tuition increase be halted until an open forum is heard on the matter.

If students do not like tuition hikes, they are always free to transfer somewhere else. Most colleges have tuition hikes to cover expenses. DePaul is a private school so it will always be more expensive than a public school. Also, non-students or alumni have no business protesting at DePaul. Mr. Jesse Jackson is nothing more than a rabble rouser and should stay out of DePaul business. FYI, I am a 2007 DePaul alumnus. I think students are forgetting that DePaul is in the middle of the Many Dreams, One Misson Campaign along with also being in the middle of the Lincoln Park Campus Master Plan for 2009-2019.
