By combining sound, force and everything in between, the Bassnectar experience will melt your brain.
Also known as Lorin Ashton, Bassnectar exists as a freeform, electronic and dubstep artist. However, that alone doesn’t do him justice.
This DJ is an open-sourced, diverse musical project that is raw and fiercely imaginative. He covers practically everything conceivable and crushes it all into a union of wobbling bass lines and hypnotic reverb.
Through his self-run music label, he has collaborated and remixed with an assorted range of artists including RJD2, Ellie Goulding, Gogol Bordello and STS9. In addition, he has created various remix projects with producers Diplo, Ill Gates and Z-Trip as well.
Bassnectar’s latest album dropped April 10 and is titled “VAVA VOOM,” already has everyone talking.
Old and new bass heads alike are impressed by the heavy beats mixed seamlessly with 8-bit, hip-hop and atmospheric vibes. It’s essential to hear fresh single “Vava Voom” featuring Chicago’s own Lupe Fiasco. This track will seriously engulf you in the true bass form with Lupe’s lyrics and Bassnectar’s signature sound.
Afraid you won't get to experience the “wompity womp?” No need to fret. Bassnectar will perform not only one, but two times at the Congress Theatre this weekend, April 15 and 16.
Still not enough?
He'll also be melting face at Lollapalooza this year too. Prepare for your senses to be tickled.
